The Arab Investment Bank (The Federal Arab Bank for Development and Investment)

was established as a joint stock company with Egyptian nationality in 1974 pursuant to

Decision of the Presidency of the Federation of Arab Republics No. 1 of 1974. The bank

is registered with the Central Bank of Egypt with No. 83.

The bank started its activities in July 1978 with a capital of 40 million US dollars, and it

was increased to 500 million Egyptian pounds

The bank carries out all banking operations in local and foreign currencies, and it

contributes to the national economy through development and investment through its

head office in Cairo and 16 branches in the Arab Republic of Egypt, including 2 Islamic

branches.

The bank makes numerous contributions to the capital of companies distributed on

aspects of economic activity represented in (tourism sector - industry sector - housing

sector - food security sector - money sector - trade sector - services sector), which

contributed to highlighting the bank as a financial institution with its position in the

market Al-Masry, as the bank's management is keen to put it in a position that allows it

to compete with other banks in terms of the diversity of products and services and

geographical spread.

The bank’s expansion plan aims to diversify banking services to reach the largest

possible segment of customers, raise the bank’s rates, increase its share in the market

for deposits and loans, corporate finance, expand joint loans, investment project

financing services, develop and finance small and medium enterprises, and provide

Retail banking services and Islamic products.
