Core Network PS Engineer

My client is a world leading Telecommunication and IT Manufacturer, they are urgently looking for a Core Network PS Engineer to be based in Egypt on a permanent basis.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the following but not limited to

• Assure the minimum delay recovering a technical fault in the Packet switching Core domain (SGSN, GGSN, Interconnections,…etc.) during the operations phase, and to confirm the maximum network availability and day to day operational activities up to the 2nd level of support and the network expansion progress.
  
• Level 2 troubleshooting and fault disposal for all faults escalated from first line/Front Office, hence and if a higher level of technical escalation is required to be done he will be responsible to escalate to regional office or HQ and follow up till the final solution.
  
• Disposal of the Core PS network incidents to do proper incident management and to submit report after finished, will be responsible for the network healthy management Responsible for routine health check of network elements, including data record and network availability, and submit the analysis reports.
  

 The ideal candidates should be/have

• Bachelor degree or above in any relevant discipline
  
• Great knowledge in GSM, 2G, 3G, Signalling No 7, TCP IP and related protocols.
  
• Excellent understanding on network topology, traffic handling capabilities and traffic characteristics.
  
• Familiar with network performance / configuration parameters and their interpretation and use.
  
• Essential experience in support system integrations (BSCs, RNCs, MSCs, MGWs …etc)
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence at all levels
  
• Confident working with ambiguity
  
• Passionate about solving problems for the team
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
